The Trust Framework Authority is the regulator of accredited digital identity services.

Accreditation under the framework

The digital identity services trust framework aims to create a digital identity environment that is safe and trusted. It’s important that people can share their information safely and securely. Businesses need to know that the information they’re receiving can be trusted.

Digital identity service providers can become accredited under the framework. This means they have proven that they meet the standards for using, storing and sharing personal and organisational information.

Responsibilities of the Trust Framework Authority

The Trust Framework Authority:

  • accredits providers
  • makes sure accredited providers consistently meet the laws, rules and regulations of the trust framework
  • assesses and investigates complaints made about accredited providers or services
  • manages the accreditation mark for the digital identity services trust framework.

When you use a digital identity service — look for the accreditation mark.
