Deshan is a UX Designer/Researcher at the Department of Internal Affairs. He is currently in the Digital Inclusion team where they work to make a more equitable digital environment for all. He is interested in understanding ‘how people tick’, so working as a UX researcher allows him to talk to individuals about their lives and experiences with the digital world. This enables him to produce research with an empathetic lens which he believes helps those who read the reports to get a better understanding of who they are trying to help.
