Why we’re reviewing the guidelines

As part of the Service Modernisation Roadmap, we’re reviewing the API guidelines to make sure that they’re fit for purpose and meet agencies’ needs.

We also want to identify opportunities to better support API adoption. APIs can increase the focus on customer needs by enabling agencies to share information and deliver multi-agency or ‘joined-up’ services more efficiently.
